My life has really been touched by this yoga journey. Yes, less stress, less pain, but also more focus, more awareness. Many things have come up that I didn’t know I had stuffed down. By doing nothing. Many things get done. Today is yin yoga, you hold yoga poses for 3-5 minutes. God that’s a lot for me! But afterwards I am so peaceful, it’s all worth it. My pelvic craves YIN, so much stress is released.
I am so excited for the Super Bowl this Sunday that naturally I’ve been spending this week testing out appetizer recipes. Whoever said that you have to sacrifice taste to eat healthy has clearly never tried these snacks before! Here are three of my favorites!

- 2 large egg whites, beaten

- 1 tsp dried oregano

I am on day 15 of yoga and meditation. I am thoroughly enjoying it, My daughter spoke of food addictions and allergies. I am becoming aware of my emotional eating, and stress eating. the yoga helps me to remember my breath. I am using this awareness of help me release my weight, 34 pounds with in my 108 day practice. Best focus and relaxation to me.
Since i was 9 years old i have been ignoring most of my food allergies. I am a bread, cake and just over all a carb addict even though i am allergic to gluten. As a child i use to sneak cows milk at my grandmothers even though i knew i was allergic to dairy. Even to this day i conveniently forget i am allergic to potatoes and corn.
2014 I am turning 21 and am continuing to step into my adulthood. I have decided to be a grown-up and be responsible and conscious of what goes into my body. I have never liked labelling my diet (vegetarian or vegan) but Nia will be striving to only eat what her body can properly process. Cheers to 2014.
This change in diet will begin as soon as i finish this red velvet cake.

1 kg tomatoes
2 red onions
